I’ve been planning a 3-week trip to Europe for a couple years, with 1 or 2 days spent at Oktoberfest. My plan is to visit places in Switzerland (Mürren - do the via ferrata and visit Schilthorn), Germany (Zugspitze, Munich, Dachau, maybe Berchtesgaden) and Austria (Salzburg, Hallstatt).
I’d like to get some insight from folks on whether you’d recommend using a backpack or a suitcase for my luggage. I’ve only been to Europe once for a week as part of a tour group so a suitcase was best/easiest since we had chartered busses. Based off what I want to do I’m leaning toward using a backpack and a day pack while out exploring but would really like to hear from more experienced travelers.
