minors need to be better dealt with. i made a post yesterday about how my flight got cancelled home. I was stuck in DC. I am 17, I travel alone a lot to visit friends just because it’s what i like to do. I turn 18 literally tomorrow so i never get the unaccompanied minor pass because i don’t need it. yesterday my flight got cancelled and i told them and they basically said i have 1 option and that is to sleep outside of TSA but still in the airport. If you’ve ever stayed in DC you’ll know that’s very dangerous. I had a layover here once overnight and it’s super scary at night, a lot of random people come in to get warm. Especially for a 17 year old girl it’s not ideal. I cant get into a hotel because i’m underage, and 99% of hotels won’t let someone over the phone check me in (like my mom). i finally got one through a police officer that my mom spoke to, but i don’t think it should’ve taken that much effort. I flew with American (i always do i’m a member) so idk if this is just an airline thing but it’s kinda dumb
