I feel like I should know the answer to this, but I don't, so please pardon my ignorance.
I'm a UK citizen but have been legally resident in Spain since 2009 and have permanent residency status in Spain.
My doubt is about visiting other EU countries, and how the 90-day rule works. Is the 90 day rule absolute, ie if I spent 90 days in, say, Italy, would I then have to return to Spain or could I leave Italy and spend another 90 days somewhere else? I feel like I can only spend a total of 90 days at a time in other EU countries, even if I visit more than one country in that time, is that correct? Or does it "reset", so to speak, when I enter another country?
My family live elsewhere in the EU and my father is sick, so this 90 day thing is about to become an issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction for info please?
