Figured out the reservations finally after zero help on forums and articles. We spent 4+hours standing on a “ no reservations required” train. Don’t recommend 😳!!
You must got to any major train station in Spain ( I’m not sure if smaller ones?) and they can book every train for you there. You cannot do online!!! And don’t think because it’s on the App that you can show up and reserve day of because it will most likely be sold out! ( we talked a lot with the ticket girl and she said that’s the most common mistake) so I recommend getting to any station asap and getting your reservations booked while there are lots of options available. We went in 2 days before and our original planned train was full already. Hope this helps somebody!
