Horrible experience with these guys. Booked a flight months ago to a European city from the US with a layover in Frankfurt. It was a United flight operated by Lufthansa. We’re returning home today and noticed that when we checked in they only issued our boarding pass to Frankfurt and not the rest of the way home. We asked about it at the airport and the unhelpful Lufthansa people said “there’s no flight today from Frankfurt to that city. Call United.” Called United who told us our flight had been cancelled. They didn’t call or email us to let us know, nor did they rebook us. Just canceled it without a word. I had to call and frantically try to get them to book me on another flight. They did but it has an additional layover, gets me home 9 hours later than the original one, and will cause me to miss work. They didn’t offer any kind of compensation, upgrade, or apology. And on the new flight I get to sit in a middle seat in the back of the plane separated from my husband for 10 hours. Screw these guys. Don’t fly with them.
