Maybe not necessarily a travel related topic, but this seems like the best sub to ask-
I love traveling, but I have a full-time job and debt to pay, so unfortunately I can’t travel as much as I would like. I am working on transitioning to a remote option for my career. But I constantly crave that magic of new experiences, people, and things.
I feel travel almost takes me back to an inner-child version of myself: I am curious, ready to explore, and ready to learn. I am not intimidated by stressful circumstances or misfortune, it is all something I can grow and learn from. I think part of the magic is that it is also out of my comfort zone, though at this point, travel is very comfortable for me.
In your everyday life, how do you create similar experiences? An example for me is I will go to a new coffee shop and talk to strangers. I get to meet a new person and get out of my comfort zone. Rotating art exhibits are really special too. Or sometimes watching travel-related movies cures my travel bug for a couple days. Unfortunately, I am running out of said movies. Re-reading travel journal memories is nostalgic but doesn’t always help.
