Planning a trip (March 29- April 13) landing in Casablanca, Morocco and traveling to Spain and up the coast to Barcelona, making our way to Madrid and then returning to States.
The travel agent I'm trying to work with keeps trying to steer us (40f, 15m) away from Morocco and doesn't seem to understand that we have zero interest in planning beyond our hotels and transportation. We also can only do the trip in this time frame because of school and work and he keeps sending tours that don't line up with the days my son has off for spring break. We have zero desire to do the group travel thing and prefer the idea of making plans as we go based on our energy levels. Are there any reasons that a respectful traveler should avoid Morocco? I have a passion for botany, minerals, fossils, and gemstones and want to plan our travel around seeing historical sites, museums, and seeing local craftspeople.
