I’m flying Ryanair for the first time tomorrow and will only be bringing into the cabin a backpack that can fit under a seat. I’m sitting in row 1 so there won’t be a seat in front of me. Will Ryanair let me put my backpack in the overhead compartment even if I don’t purchase the extra cabin small bag add-on? It seems like normally you have to pay extra for use the overhead compartments.
