I’ve never been to Hawaii, and we are considering a family trip next year. As far as travel goes, our travel has been skewed heavily towards Europe/US/Asia and that’s always the alternative to going to Hawaii. I’m debating whether it’s worth justifying the 10-hour trip with a stopover, versus flying direct to somewhere in Europe, going back to Asia, etc. We’ve already been to Europe and Asia, so that counts against those options. But I’m also wondering if there’s enough to do for 7 to 10 days in one or two Hawaiian islands? Besides hiking or hanging at a pool, are there other fun activities to do with small kids? Should we make the trek versus hitting up Italy or Germany? What’s the big appeal of Hawaii for you?
