Tourists taking my baby’s picture ….

I thought I’d ask here because this isn’t the first time it has happened.

I am currently in a very international city on a vacation with my family. Today at a tourist attraction there was a tour group from another country. About a half dozen tourists came up to me and my baby to take out picture - mostly of her but I was in some of them because I was holding her. They didn’t introduce themselves or say anything they just walked over and snapped a picture.

The last time this happened I was in another international city but that time I was ethnically native to that place (let’s say I am Samoan and I was in Samoa - random example , I am not Samoan). I figured they just thought we were “locals” even though I don’t live there. But this time that is not the case.

Fwiw my baby is exceptionally cute but not particularly remarkable in any way. She is about 15 months and was just sitting in her stroller or being held by me, not doing anything noteworthy.

Is this a normal thing that some tourists do? How would you handle this?
