How often are flight boards incorrect at airports?

As in, “go to gate” “boarding” “final call”

My husband and I bicker every time we are at the airport; I want to be able to see the gate at all times incase the flight board is wrong, and he’s happy to order another beer 1 minute before the scheduled departure time if the board hasn’t updated.

So can the flight boards be fully relied upon, or how often are they incorrect?
