It is my understanding that I don't need TSA Precheck if I have Global Entry, so that is part of my decision making. I also assume that Global Entry can be used WITHIN the U.S. in place of the TSA precheck, so there's that aspect, too. Let me know if I'm wrong on that.
The situation: U.S. family of 5, three minor children. We're headed to Montreal next spring. We are not regular international travelers, so I'm not sure if GE is worth it. (That said, spring break in Cabo sounds good, so... )
My understanding is that with TSA Precheck, only my husband and I would need to get it, and the kids would fall under it as long as it's noted on their ticket.
And with GE, everyone would need to have their own, even the kids. At $100 fee per GE, it seems like it might not be worth it.
How much faster is it to get through customs with GE vs. without?
