Line pushing

I’m a young woman who has been traveling through Turkey for a few weeks with my husband. Throughout our trip—and even while waiting in line at the airport to get our boarding pass scanned—I’ve been having lots of other women (typically older) pushing me (like pushing on my backpack repeatedly) or trying to cut me in line. My husband hasn’t been experiencing this. When it happens, I’m not moving slowly, and I’m close to the person waiting in front of me. Is this typical? Is there a reason why? This is mostly just a personal curiosity, as I haven’t really experienced it this frequently before.
