Has anyone used submitted a claim to their travel insurance to cover last minute bookings? If so, what proof did you need? Last week we flew from Australia to London. After 24+ hours of travelling we got to the apartment we booked only to be told that they didn't receive our booking and the apartment wasn't available. I have a confirmation email and the apartment manager even confirmed my check in time previously so idk what happened.
We've had to book last minute hotels and airbnbs and as we are here for 3 weeks it's cost us a lot more than the inital apartment we booked. The apartment manager is now ghosting me after asking for a statement we can give to insurance. It's so frustrating.
