Not sure where to post this, but this r/ felt like the best place.
I work as front desk at an IHG hotel in Seattle, and currently we have no way to pull reservations from our cloud. We are able to see new reservations made, but cannot download them into our operating system, meaning we have no way to check them in or even remake the reservation as we cant open it at all. Our IT department has brought it to my attention this is likely a nationwide issue, as hotels in several different states have been reporting the same issue.
I'm able to cancel the reservations and rebook in person, but this presents a major problem for those booking a room that is prepaid, or booked with points, because if I did cancel and try to remake said prepaid booking I would have no way to issue a refund because I cant access the original reservation.
I wanted to give anyone a heads up, and if you feel like spreading the word feel free to do so as IHG will not be turning off inventory regardless of the issue, and people deserve to know what's going on.
