My mom, brother, and I are going to Mexico City for winter break, for about 2-2.5 weeks probably.
We obviously want to see the pyramids. I learned about the Floating Gardens of Xochimilco in high school and would love to see those as well, if they’re as interesting as I was led to believe. My mom wants to go to the Frida Kahlo Museum.
What are some other awesome places to go to in Mexico City? We all grew up in rural environments and love nature, so I think that‘s our main pull. Also history and food.
And where are some nice but affordable places to stay? I’m cool with Motel 6 level accommodations, but if it’s not too pricy, I’d love to stay somewhere fancy.
(ETA: My mom’s an alcoholic, so none of us drink. So any suggestions about alcohol will fall on deaf ears.)
