Not sure if anyone will be able to help but, I’m a Canadian planning about a 3 week trip to visit my girlfriend!! I just had a few questions about costs to anyone who’s maybe made a similar trip before.
I have $2000 CAD saved for a round trip plane ticket. I’ve been watching prices and that seems like it would cover it! Which is great!! I plan on going in August of 2024. But now I’m getting a little anxious. Is $2000 going to be enough for a round trip flight to London?
And now I’m also wondering about money to have while I’m there! The exchange rate from CAD to British pounds is god awful so I don’t want to break the bank but still want to be prepared. The only things I’d be spending money on is food and souvenirs! But I have no clue what to budget for spending money.
Last question! Do any Canadians, specifically Ontario peeps, have any clue if there’s a way to get a card and load that card with British pounds? When my girlfriend visited here she had a card she could load and transfer money onto and it would converse to CAD! I’m wondering if there’s anything here like that that’s easy to get!
Any ideas or words of advice would be very helpful!
