I’m meant to flying to South America on Saturday, and I’m learning just now of some of the vaccines I’m meant to get.
I have the yellow fever vaccine, however the doctor I went to didn’t advise of any other ones to get. Doing some research online, I’m learning that I’ll also need Hep A and Typhoid which can be quite serious and are endemic in the countries I’m visiting.
I asked my gf who is Colombian, and she said I only need the yellow fever one. I’m not sure what to do. I am already quite anxious about this trip, and finding out it’s too late to get some important vaccines for it is making it worse.
Looking for advice: - can I get the vaccines now/tomorrow or is there no point? - am I overreacting, like is it unlikely provided I be safe and avoid certain foods? - should I cancel and play it safe?
