We did a 5 night all inclusive resort last week in Punta Cana. This was our 3rd all inclusive (all Dominican Republic) and I think we will stick to cruising going forward. The all inclusive was a great value for the price paid but after the 3rd day we were bored. Eat, Beach, Pool, repeat. The food became redundant and the activities were sparse. We could have spent some $$ for an excursion but that would have probably been just a nicer beach. Compared to cruising which we have been on at least 2 dozen there is so much to do and options. Almost every port brings different options and excursions or just the port area are unique in their own. For us cruising is much more enjoyable.
